There are pieces of furniture that simply occupy a space, and then there are those that define it.
The ONDA Sunbed by Pininfarina belongs unmistakably to the latter.
Created with the same instinct for proportion, movement and sculptural form that has made Pininfarina one of Italy’s most celebrated design houses, ONDA transforms the traditional sunbed into an architectural statement. Its silhouette is low, confident and beautifully fluid — a continuous sweeping form that seems to rise and fall with the effortless rhythm of a wave.
And that is precisely where its name begins. Onda — Italian for wave — captures the philosophy behind the design. There is a sense of motion within the piece even when it is completely still. The frame curves upward, disappears beneath the body and re-emerges with an almost weightless elegance, giving the sunbed a presence that feels simultaneously substantial and refined.
Yet ONDA was never created to be admired from a distance.
Its generous reclining surface follows the body naturally, while the multi-position adjustable backrest allows you to move effortlessly between reading, relaxing and stretching out beneath the afternoon sun. The tactile outdoor fabric softens the architectural character of the frame, creating a beautiful contrast between precision and comfort.
This balance is what makes ONDA exceptional.
It carries the visual drama of a designer piece without sacrificing the ease that outdoor living demands. Beside an infinity pool, overlooking the ocean or positioned on a contemporary terrace, it has the ability to make its surroundings feel more considered — more like a private resort than simply an outdoor area.
There is no unnecessary ornamentation. No excess. Every curve has purpose, and every line contributes to the unmistakable silhouette.
ONDA is outdoor living reduced to its most beautiful essentials: sun, water, comfort and extraordinary design.
